It all began with a spontaneous night out with friends back in 2018. After returning home from college, Michelle embarked on a night out with her hometown friends and as it so often happened, they had one too many and stayed out way too late. On a whim, Michelles friend Chloe suggested they visit one of her college friends’ places in DC and order a pizza to their house. Little did Michelle know, this impromptu visit would mark the beginning of our journey together.

As fate (or the influence of alcohol mixed with the temptation of late-night pizza) would have it, they showed up to ~surprise, surprise~ Timmys house. Timmy and his roommate, Taylor, along with a visiting college friend, were watching TV and a conversation about the show Are You The One came up. Michelle, always one to make things about herself, excitedly shared her brief brush with reality TV fame, recounting how she was recruited for the show earlier that summer. After playing the voicemail from the producer, she became known as the are you the one girl.

A few months and a few Flash day parties with their two groups of friends went by, and it was among one random night in the Cafe Saint-Ex basement that Timmy and Michelle shared their first kiss.

Following that eventful evening, Timmy took the bold step of asking Michelle out on what would be a disastrous first date — a story for another time. Reflecting on that pivotal moment, Michelle, ever the realist, jokingly reassured her mom before leaving for the date, Im off on a first date, but don’t make a big deal — Im sure I’ll be going on lots of first dates. Little did she know, that evening marked the end of their respective journeys in the world of first dates and the beginning of their love story filled with laughter, mishaps, and countless memories.
